Hotel Kaiserhof on Usedom donates to zoo and children's and youth hospice arcona relief fund
Usedom, 24.05.2023 - This year, the hotels of arcona Hotels & Resorts are once again supporting charitable organizations: General Manager Lars Groche and Management Assistant Nannette Bergschmidt from the Hotel Kaiserhof in Heringsdorf on Usedom visited Wolgast Zoo and presented Zoo Director Mirko Daus with a donation for the new zoo school, which is still under construction.

Donation for the children's and youth hospice in Greifswald
Around 50,000 children and young people in Germany live with a life-shortening or life-threatening illness, 700 of them in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. There is a hospice for adults in every major city. However, there is not a single inpatient hospice for children and young people in the whole of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. This needs to change. The heartfelt project of the Förderverein Kinderhospiz Leuchtturm e.V. is to establish an inpatient hospice for children and young people (KJH). A suitable plot of land has already been found in Stralsund and the ground-breaking ceremony is planned for next year. To support this important project, 600 euros have now also been donated from the proceeds of the New Year's Eve raffle.
