Culinary variety at the Hotel Elephant Weimar Summer party, wine events, cooking courses and celebrity chefs
Weimar, January 29, 2025 - The Hotel Elephant Weimar remains a social meeting place in the city of Goethe: the new year is once again packed with events that promise enjoyment and pleasure in the best of company. In addition to the wine talks, the culinary event series “Wallners Lieblinge” and the guest chef evenings “Geschmackssachen”, the hotel is also planning a lavish summer party. In addition, chef Johannes Wallner will be introducing participants to the secrets of fine cuisine for the first time this year with his cooking courses. Summer party
On August 16, 2025, an exclusive summer party will be held on the romantic garden terrace of the Hotel Elephant, for which Johannes Wallner has invited guest chefs Haya Molcho, Maria Groß, Ralf Zacherl and Franz Keller. Winegrowers will present their best wines and a DJ will set the mood. The aim: enjoy, have fun and get into conversation with each other.
Wine talks
As part of the popular wine talks, wine lovers and connoisseurs can taste fine wines in a relaxed atmosphere and talk to winemakers and wine experts. Sommelière Anna-Maria Beckert offers insider tips and provides information about growing regions and grape varieties.

A long table, 18 guests and seven courses: Hotel Elephant celebrates a very special form of convivial enjoyment in its elegant Lichtsaal. On eleven dates, chef Johannes Wallner presents seasonally themed menus accompanied by selected wines. 18 guests enjoy the evening together at a long table in the middle of the atmospheric light room with its art collection and glass ceiling.

Cook with Johannes Wallner
Guests experience the art of cooking up close and personal and are introduced to the secrets of fine cuisine by head chef Johannes Wallner. The course starts with a champagne reception. During the course, participants receive a recipe folder and an apron as a souvenir. After cooking together, you will enjoy the 4-course menu you have created yourself.
