The Elephant's Finest matter of taste Dieter Müller organizes gala dinner at Hotel Elephant Weimar
Weimar, 15.02.2022 - A top-class cooking duo is at work at the Hotel Elephant in Weimar: On March 19, Dieter Müller and Johannes Wallner will create a 6-course menu as part of Elephant's Finest Geschmackssache. Tickets for the evening only or as a package in conjunction with an overnight stay can be booked now at hotelelephantweimar.de/ticketshop.

"We are delighted to have found a great partner for this event in Dieter Müller. This is a very special experience for me, because I did my apprenticeship as a hotel specialist in 1989 at the Schweizer Stuben in Wertheim, where Dieter Müller was head chef at the time. Now I invited him - and he agreed to come straight away. Together with our excellent head chef Johannes Wallner, he has created a menu to be proud of," says Stefan Schwind, General Manager of the Hotel Elephant Weimar.
There's not much to write about Dieter Müller - "ambassador of exceptional taste": his culinary career has taken him from his parents' restaurant in the Black Forest to the best canteen in the German army, a three-star restaurant and the finest galley in the world on the MS Europa. His great culinary skills and love of high-quality ingredients and craftsmanship have made culinary history. He runs a cookery school in Odenthal with his wife, travels the world at food events and has written numerous award-winning cookbooks.
Johannes Wallner has been delighting guests at Restaurant AnnA in Hotel Elephant Weimar with his sophisticated dishes made from local and seasonal ingredients since 2018. The 33-year-old Wallner's passion for his profession began at school in his native Erfurt. He gained cooking experience in Switzerland, returned to Erfurt and now reinterprets classic dishes from Central German and European cuisine in the AnnA restaurant. Dieter Müller's cooking style is characterized by a focus on the product.
For the 6-course menu at the Hotel Elephant Weimar, the two have now unleashed all their creativity. This much can be revealed: The 6-course gala menu from the two top chefs starts with trio of foie gras, includes interesting combinations of skip fillet and eel as well as a capuccino of curry and lemongrass. After a champagne cream sorbet, the veal course is served with balsamic pepper jus. An impression of Black Forest kirsch and a tonka bean parfait round off the menu.
