The series of events will kick off on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 4 to 5 p.m. with a lecture by Annekathrin Härter on "Art and History at the Hotel Elephant Weimar". The guided tour will take place regularly every two weeks in the Lichtsaal and is free of charge. Visitors will take a look behind the scenes of the hotel legend, which dates back to the 17th century and combines Art Deco and Bauhaus elements.
On March 17 and 18, the culinary evening "Elephant's Finest: A Matter of Taste with Dieter Müller & Johannes Wallner" is on the program. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. each evening, guests will enjoy a 6-course menu accompanied by wine. Dieter Müller is one of the best chefs in Germany. From 1997 until his retirement in 2008, he cooked up three Michelin stars every year for the gourmet restaurant in the Schlosshotel Lerbach. He is a renowned cookbook author and runs a cookery school in Odenthal with his wife. Together with chef Johannes Wallner, Dieter Müller will create a finely balanced menu on two evenings at the Hotel Elephant.

On March 12 and 26, from 6 to 7.30 pm, the hotel invites you to a reading from Thomas Mann's "Lotte in Weimar". Johanna Geißler, actress at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, will bring Goethe's childhood love back to the city of classical music in a scenic, expressive and witty manner. The writer and Goethe connoisseur Thomas Mann was a regular guest at the Hotel Elephant and in his novel "Lotte in Weimar" he not only created a literary monument to Lotte and Goethe, but also to the hotel.

On March 31, "Pearls of European song" will be performed at the Hotel Elephant from 7.30 pm. Mirjam & Wieland Meinhold alias Duo Vimaris will take the audience on a musical journey through Europe.
