Rostock / Weimar, 30.06.2021 - The traditional Hotel Elephant Weimar in the heart of the classic city has been open to guests again since June 15, 2021. .
Hotel Director Stefan Schwind was delighted to welcome the first guests: "I invited them to a small welcome drink with the team. It's an uplifting feeling to finally have people back in the hotel who are incredibly happy to be traveling again and enjoying their time with us." The chef's new summer dishes were also very well received by the guests. "The market and garden terraces are once again popular meeting places and many people are enquiring about our culinary and cultural events, which will take place again from July in compliance with all hygiene guidelines."
Start with music and art
The cultural program begins in collaboration with the Bach Biennale Weimar in July: from 5 to 8 July 2021, four half-hour lunch concerts will take place at the Hotel Elephant Weimar. A big celebration for the 325th birthday
On February 17, 2021, the Hotel Elephant Weimar celebrated its 325th anniversary - albeit very quietly. On August 28, 2021 - fittingly also Goethe's 271st birthday - a big birthday party is finally planned: The whole day will be dedicated to the anniversary, starting with a big brunch, a colorful cultural program for families and coffee klatch on the garden terrace. The day will end with a lively and fun concert on the garden terrace and a delicious barbecue buffet.
There is also a special birthday offer for the reopening of the 325-year-old hotel: for EUR 325, guests receive two nights' accommodation including a sumptuous breakfast and a 4-course menu. They can also toast the anniversary in style with a bottle of sparkling wine, homemade birthday cake and a birthday surprise.
Another cooperation with the Dresden Residence Orchestra has also already been confirmed: special concerts with a small orchestra are planned in the Lichtsaal of the Hotel Elephant Weimar, for example a violin recital with works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Carl Maria von Weber, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Francis Poulenc. The hotel also offers bookable packages that include either just the concert ticket (EUR 29), an additional 4-course dinner (EUR 89) or an overnight stay with breakfast and 3-course dinner (EUR 173.50).
