Former Hotel Berliner Bär completely rebuilt arcona opens "Koopmanns Hotel & Lädchen" on Rügen
Rostock, Göhren/Rügen, 18.03.2022 - Arcona is expanding its portfolio on Rügen: In the spa and health resort of Göhren, just a six-minute walk from the wide sandy beach and pier, the company will be operating the former Hotel Berliner Bär under the new name "Koopmanns Hotel und Lädchen" from Easter. Until then, the gem will be completely redesigned and given a polished finish.
Nostalgic flair, just a few steps from the sandy beach
The new interior alludes to the former village merchant culture and exudes the nostalgic charm of corner stores. Sea-green wall panels, brass-coloured lamps, cream and anthracite tones harmonize with light wood and create a cosy atmosphere. In the 53 single and double rooms as well as four apartments, the furniture captivates with Scandinavian-inspired country house flair. From the balconies and terraces, the view sweeps out into the distance - in many rooms over the sea. If you want to discover local delicacies and souvenirs, you will find them in the lovingly furnished hotel shop "Emma": here you will find fragrant tea, aromatic honey, island whisky and handmade souvenirs from the studios of local artists. Just a few steps away, the Göhren promenade invites you to take a stroll.
To get your day on the island off to a good start, the Koopmanns serves its guests a rich and long breakfast. If you have an appetite in between, cakes and snacks are available until the evening. Guests will find restaurants to suit every taste just a few steps away from the hotel - for example at the sister hotel Vju with its à la carte restaurant "Küstensilber". This hotel also belongs to arcona and was recently extensively renovated.
Year-round wellness at the nearby sister hotel Vju
The partnership between the two arcona hotels offers even more advantages: Guests of the Koopmanns can also use the extensive wellness and spa area of the Vju for a fee, subject to prior reservation. Just 450 meters from the Koopmanns, a heated saltwater pool and a sauna area promise soothing warmth all year round with sweeping views over the countryside. The treatment area offers massage rituals, wraps and healing treatments using regional products. The beauty studio offers a wide range of cosmetics with the maritime natural cosmetics brand Oceanwell from Kiel.
The Koopmanns is now available at www.koopmanns.de and will open at Easter 2022.
The Koopmanns and the Vju Hotel are owned by the Friedemann-Kunz-Familienstiftung and operated by arcona Hotels & Resorts. Plan-Team Lohoff is responsible for the interior fit-out.
