Retro van with electric motor Wyn Strandhotel rolls out nostalgic surfer bus
Westerland, 15.02.2023 - Like no other car, the VW Bulli stands for surfing, camping and the freedom of beach life. Located directly on Sylt's legendary Weststrand beach, the Wyn Strandhotel Sylt has now acquired a nostalgic ID. Buzz from VW - naturally environmentally friendly with an electric motor and partly recycled interior.
Christiane Winter-Thumann, Director of Communications at arcona, is delighted with the new addition: "The van embodies the Sylt lifestyle: wind in your hair, sand between your toes and the sound of the sea in your ears. But the electric van won our hearts above all with its ecological footprint, sorry: tire footprint."
The design of a new era
Inspired by the design of its iconic Bulli predecessors, the ID. Buzz not only impresses with its incomparable charm, but also combines modern proportions with innovative technology.
Sustainable mobility across the board
Holistic sustainability for a climate-conscious future is the claim of the new ID. Buzz. It is delivered CO2-neutral on balance and is CO2-free on the road locally. Thanks to its animal leather-free interior and the partial use of recycled materials - for example in the seat covers, floor coverings and headlining - it reconciles sustainability and comfort.
